Family-Centered Prevention Effects on the Association Between Racial Discrimination and Mental Health in Black Adolescents: Secondary Analysis of 2 Randomized Clinical Trials
Adolescents of color face racial discrimination that has been shown to lead to mental health problems. This analysis of 2 randomized clinical trials found that a brief family-centered preventive intervention that increased parental protective behavior towards Black adolescents decreased subsequent mental health problems in participating youth.
